GE-GUANGZHOU#DAY 1

The first day we take the morning flight to Guangzhou. It has been arrived at three in the morning. We contacted the bus to pick us to the hotel. The hotel due to too many students needs to check the passport information.

I am with four other Chinese students Let the other students go back to the room to rest first, and we stayed in the hotel lobby until 6:30 in the morning.

After sleeping for three hours, the bus came to pick up our way to Dongguan Baixin clothes and Textile Co., Ltd. It took about an hour and a half. I found that Guangzhou is really big and lots of people. Guangzhou is really a city with a garment factory wholesale industry. There are a lot of leather goods on the road. There are a lot of furs wholesale and so on.

After arriving at the textile factory, we visited the process of making the cotton thread into a piece of fabric. There are many large machines to check how a piece of fabric is flawed. I also visited the process of handwork. They are divided into different groups of work and cooperation.

One group is hot clothes. One group is packing. One group is sewn tags and so on. The factory is for export only. Most of them are Southeast Asian countries such as Philippines, Malaysia and Japan, Korea and the United States. The company is a large knitting manufacturer integrating design, development, production, sale and operation. We also knew the two senior graduated from Singapore Raffles. They are now a designer in this company.

At the end, bus driver drop us to the shamian island. Shamian Island is an artificial island on the Pearl River. Built by the British. Before is the British and French concession. These building still maintained in good condition. All of the buildings are European style. We walk there. I saw a lot of the embassy and the financial center banks are set up in here.
