At this term break time, I went back to Taiwan to see a lot of exhibitions. This is in Taichung The National museum of fine arts.
A-SUNWU is a famous painter of Taiwan. This exhibition shows more than 300 pieces of his works, including oil painting, woodcut, ink and wash, sketch, sculpture, and huge wood sculpture. What impressed me the most is that his work is full of primal energy.
He is keen to chase the sun and take risks in nature. Constant travel gave him a lot of inspiration. He left the comfort zone and went to Africa for a year to find creative inspiration. The hot sun in Africa, the unmerciless but pure natural force, and the life of the local Aboriginal in the harsh environment, inspired his new creative inspiration. And it started - painting the scenery on the face, this unique style of painting. He travels throughout Europe, America, Africa, central and South America, and so on. He always adheres to the belief of "finding the true soul of childhood and the original movement of nature".

RED-BLACK-WHITE Period
In 1995, A-SUNWU devoted his works to the Baidu snake totem in Taiwan and their reverence. And the special color of the red and black ethnic groups of the Da Wu people. The works of this period are dominated by Yin and Yang. Red represents life, black represents strength, and white represents peace.

1973-1976 he went to New York to develop in the United States.
The direction of painting is stimulated by the mechanical civilization of the United States, and depicts the themes of life in a realistic way. It reflects the reaction and refraction of reality and desire.
